We understand that a majority of our athletes will be participating in more than one sport during their AAU season. This is encouraged, as we know how important it is for their development mentally and physically. This also helps kids get exposed to different circumstances within their teams (different teammates, different roles, etc.) MTXE Premier just wants to kids to have a great experience and grow mentally and physically and use sports as a vehicle to do so.
Player Conduct
Players and parents who are part of the MTXE Premier basketball program will be held to a high standard of professionalism. Any misbehavior or misconduct on or off the court will be handled in a fair but serious manner. We must understand that we are representing ourselves and the MTXE program, that said – all of our players will respect all players, coaches, referees, parents, and spectators. Please understand that when you dawn the MTXE Premier jersey, we expect you to be committed to MTXE Premier. We ask that you MTXE Premier players only play for one club/AAU basketball team, that being MTXE Premier
Parent Conduct
The MTXE Premier program and us as coaches will NOT condone any negative comments towards the players, referees, coaches, or other families. Parents/spectators shall treat players, referees, and coaches with respect. You shall not coach your child or any other players from the sidelines or stands. Coaches, Coach – Players, Play – Referees, Ref, and Parents –Support. Your support of our program plays a crucial role in our success, and we thank you in advance for being true role models to our children. Please encourage your child to advocate for themselves and have them talk to the coach. If for any reason you have a problem that needs to be addressed, you may contact the HEAD COACH. If it is playing time-related, you have to wait until your son has approached the head coach first, and playing time will NOT be discussed with a parent at a game, tournament, or practice – a separate meeting will be set.
**If any family is removed from the program, or chooses to leave, refunds will not be granted**
Coaches Conduct
Coaches are committed to developing a setting that fosters fun, good sportsmanship, and great fundamental basketball. It is also important to mentor positive personal growth for these young men, and we will model high ideals of ethics and sportsmanship. Players will be fairly coached, and if this is ever in question it will be handled immediately. Our coaches will ALWAYS have the best interest of our kids in mind. As stated above, we will always have the understanding that no ONE PLAYER is bigger than the team, and the team will be coached that way.
ATTENDANCE & PLAYING TIME EXPECTATIONS
Players will be expected to attend practices and games. That said, we understand that practice conflicts can and will arise. These conflicts must be communicated with coaches well in advance of an event. Additionally, each coach is allowed and encouraged to have their own attendance policy as it relates to playing time considerations. Generally speaking, attending practice and being familiar with our team’s basketball philosophy (knowing sets, identifying their role, etc.) can be a factor in determining playing time.
Playing Time
Playing time isn’t a right, it’s a privilege. As stated above, more than any skill set, we as coaches will be looking for great effort, as well as great attitudes. We want to foster an environment of accountability and responsibility. As the boys grow in these two areas it will help them mature into productive members of society. There are going to be many other facets that dictate playing time for the boys (attitude, effort, practice attendance, and game situations). Playing time WILL NOT be equal. If a parent has any questions, you may contact the head coach no less than 24 hours after the most recent game.
We are very excited for you to represent the MTXE Premier program.
